Biography
Derek has worked in the insurance and financial services sector for over 40 years, specialising in providing consultancy advice and delivering change initiatives to the financial services market.
He has held senior executive level positions at leading financial services, software house and marketing organisations spanning strategy, distribution, proposition, marketing, operational delivery and business change related roles.
He has extensive experience of designing, leading and implementing business & digital change programmes.

Biography
Dave is a highly talented entrepreneurial insurance executive with over 25 years of experience building and scaling businesses across the carrier, MGA, and broker sectors.
Most recently serving as Executive Vice President at FBC Home Insurance Services in Orlando, as a member of the executive team overseeing a personal lines agency writing in over 12 states. In 2025, he successfully executed and integrated multiple agency acquisitions.
Prior to FBC, David served as Vice President at Slide Insurance Company, a homeowners insurance carrier writing over $1.3B in premium. As a member of the executive team, he helped built out alternative distribution channels including:
- Direct-to-Consumer
- Embedded platforms
while overseeing HomeFront Insurance, the company’s internal agency operations.
Dave’s extensive career includes a decade-long tenure as Executive Vice President at St. James Insurance Group, where he helped lead the growth in the MGA to over $425M+ in premium. During his time there, he directed operations across multiple business units including an MGA with an owned insurance carrier, inspection company, and retail agency. He started the inspection company, retail agency, and new MGA operations. He grew premium by more than $140M.
Earlier in his career, David served as Senior Vice President at All Risks Limited, a national MGA, Program, and Wholesale Broker with over $800M in premium, where he oversaw the Northeast Region generating more than $225M in premium. He led a team of 120+ employees across five office locations while also building Lloyds and London markets relationships.
He also worked in the technology industry, leading teams integrating various systems with insurance clients.
He has proven experience and strengths in :

Dave holds a Master of Science in Business from Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor of Arts in History from Loyola College. He has earned the Associate in Risk Management (ARM) designation.
